White chrysanthemums. Floral painting

“White chrysanthemums” is an abstract floral artwork. In December, for birthday, my parents gave me these beautiful white chrysanthemums – white as snow, airy like cotton, delicate like a light touch of the breeze. I really love these gorgeous flowers – for me, they symbolize both winter and summer at the same time.
The work was painted using only five colors – rich green gold, olive green, cobalt violet deep, indigo, Joseph Z’s natural grey. The limited color palette gives the artwork a unique elegance.

The volume and texture of flowers are perfectly conveyed by the artist. As in all her artworks, the artist masterfully uses watercolors’ technique. An elegant color palette, an excellent ability to show the play of light and shadow, and an extraordinary lightness of painting give real shine to her works.
