Splash of violets. Floral painting
“Splash of violets” is an explosion of violet color; it is a harmony of the richness of purple and green shades. This is a play of light and shadow: the light only touches the petals’ tips, and towards the middle, the flowers are dark and solid. The back flowers and the center of the bouquet are illuminated. The foreground is in the shadow area, creating the depth and volume of the picture.
“Splash of violets” is an abstract painting, painted in watercolors using wet-on-wet technique on paper 50×30 cm.
