“White orchids. Winter flower fairy tale” – an abstract artwork, painting of two delicate white orchids. In winter, beautiful white orchids, or dendrobiums, bloom at my house. Orchids have an elegant, fragile aroma. I usually see them at night, in the moonlight – in the very early morning when I wake up, and in the evening when I return after a working day. It is snowing outside the window; the stars are sparkling in the sky.
The artwork perfectly presents the volume and whiteness of graceful flowers. The dark crimson background was beautifully painted using loose watercolor properties.
The work is done in watercolor using a limited palette: crimson, pink, violet, amethyst, ultramarine, grey, and yellow Naples.
